College degrees, Skipping College, and over-educated
In the articles I have read I believe that everyone these days are graduating, therefore the over abundance of graduates with not so many jobs to offer out there in the working world. It is being stated that there is no big deal these days for potential employers fresh out of college are showing up to job interviews with their college degrees. The companies are obviously interested and understand that all these newly issued degree job seekers are searching but in this world today it is simply not really enough. The cost of college is increasing and therefore college students are taking out more student loans, therefore after graduation students are very eager to get started on their careers because they have so many loans to pay off. But now the question is are the people who do not attend college and go right into the work force the one's making the most money? With some jobs, yes they are making money already and all they have to offer a company is a high school diploma. But the problem with going to school, is that some students are becoming over-educated. They are drowning themselves in too much school which is causing them to be heavy amounts of debt when they do finally get out of college. Some people may find that skipping out on the college experience and going right into the work force is more benficial to them, and being in college broke. I somewhat understand what they mean that i would be rather working and saving money then blowing so much money being in school for a job i may or may not get in the future. Also, after I am a college graduate I will go out to look for that career relating to my major, but that doesn't mean I will have the job right away all it means is that I will be able to put myself out there and begin looking. I understand that people without college degrees make money and yes, they can make a lot and as much as I hate being poor. I just think that it is most important to go to school, get an education, maybe even [[#|continue]] school, and to then look for the perfect job for you that is going to pay off your school, and make you happy in the long run. After all, you are going to college, majoring in something I would hope you would like to do for the rest of your life, so therefore you may be suffering in the books and studying, but one day you will be doing something you love.
